Karim Ouelhaj is a director, a screen player and a producer born in Liège in 1974.
Graduated in 1996 in Advertising at Saint Marie Institue, he then joined the Académie des Beaux Arts in Liège where he studied videography.
In 2006, il created Okayss Prod, an audiovisual structure specialised in feature and short films and music video.
He directed the long length feature Parabola (2005), Le repas du singe (2013) and Une réalité par seconde (2015), a societal triptych a societal triptych exposing the tragic and tormented destiny of three female characters who are involving in a contemporary Liège where prostitution, drugs and violence are mixed.
His 4th film, the short L’Oeil silencieux with Win Willaert, is presented in world premiere at the BIFFF in Brussels where he won the Grand Jury Prize and the Silver Méliès which allows the film to be selected to compete for the Golden Méliès at the European Fantastic Film Festival.
Alongside the cinema, he also directed several music videos for Frank Shinobi, Eté 67, OLH ans Lilac.
